Do you guys recommend any fet-based compressors?

Hello everybody
My question is pretty much the title: I would like to know if you guys can suggest any diy-friendly (not necessarily available as a project, I can design my own boards) guitar fet-based compressors beyond the usual suspects, e.g. Orange Squeezer and Rothwell Lovesqueeze.

I would appreaciate a little more control than those two provide (i don't need a studio compressor like the 1176 variations, but some degree of control of attack and/or release would be nice)

Thanks!

I've tried the engineer's thumb and I like it a lot. Was wondering specifically about fets, mostly because of the Fairfield Accountant, which sounds awesome from what I could heard, and looks to be an all-discrete design using fets

I recently built a board for circuit salad’s optofet compressor. I can’t find a link because I’m on my phone - there isn’t a ton of control via pots but you can play with some component values for the attack/release. I like other comps more but the circuit topography is really interesting and might be a good starting point.

that's nice! do you know if the M in the h11f1m is a must? I have easy access to the h11f1 (with no M), and checking the datasheets it doesn't look all that different

Not sure but I think as long as its a FET out you should be good but I know there are other H11XXs that aren’t optofets
