Dung Beetle BIAS control – normal behaviour?

Hi,
newbie builder here. Until now, I have successfully built the Mach1, the Southern Belle and the Clandestine Preamp.
Just finished my latest build, the Dung Beetle and the BIAS control reacts a bit strange.

From 7 to 2 o'clock everything works as expected: At 7 o'clock I have the gated/spitting sound which gets denser the more I turn the control up.
At 2 o'clock the sound has reached its peak in terms of density and from there on, it degrades and gets quieter.
At 5 o'clock the output has almost dropped to zero with a much lesser fuzzy sound.
I would expect that the sound gets 'creamier' (less spitting) the more I turn the BIAS control up.

Here's a short video, showing this behaviour.
Is this normal? How does your Dung Beetle sound with the BIAS control all the way up?

Super late reply, but yes, this is normal as I also have similar behavior in my build. The range of the pot I believe goes out-in-out of the optimal bias range for the transistors with gatey behavior on either side of the rotation
