This circuit is the shizz, the bomb, the everything basstacular, the ne plus ultra of low dirt for me. Nasty as a rusty razor, don't give a effer about your "clean blend needs," but the cool kids all of a sudden start markering Jesus Lizard over their jean jackets. Don't blame it, it's cutting class to go to the smoke pit.
To be more specific: not a very fussy or complicated build. Bass/mid/treble EQ on top, volume and gain knob on the bottom. Bass cut toggle on the right, on/off/on clipping choices to the left, reminiscent of Blumes. (To me) Sounds like really good distortion in the bass range: grainy, punchy, abrasive, and can cop Shellac and David Yow and Co. tones with ease. Kind of what I imagine the ts-50b should sound like.
Unlike my many many other builds, which I never post build reports of because I don't bother doing anything but the most boring cursory aesthetics on bare enclosures (I don't even put in indicator LEDs!) I made my enclosure painted and stuff. Can of "froze in my garage and I forgot about it for 4 years" fluorescent green paint with a clear coat. Total globby crap paint, looks great in this case, I think.
