Electrovibe lamp issue

apologies in advance if this has been brought up before. the lamp on my electrovibe will light up for a second or two when plugged in then will go out. I have messed with the gain and bias and that didn't help. in addition, my speed LED is lighting up to the pulse, probably a separate deal. I have quadruple checked all of my solder joints I'm starting to wonder if I have a bad component. thanks for the help.

What do you mean about the speed LED? What's it doing exactly?

Pots are insulated. The led above the left foot switch is pulsing like the lamp is supposed to.

A solder splash on the Speed footswitch (or connections to the breakout board) could cause this.

There is at least one stray wire on you main board on the right side near the footswitch connections and the transistor. Better pics of the connections could help.
Looks like a good cleaning could help also.
