You looking for sarcastic or real talk? Too bad, you're getting real talk because I got three hours of sleep in a shite-arse hotel.
You're not a terrible person. I can't judge that because I don't know you from Adam. Sometimes ((a lot) you believe the internet. You believe that rules don't apply, and/or you take any inch you're given. You believe that everyone should take the same stance as you, and take it to the extreme.
But you know what? A whole of people love it when you take some things too far: your building things to the best that you (and let's be honest, a crap ton of people) can possibly do. It's immaculate. And you know what else? Little loved the tutorials you made, the knowledge you shared, it was a boon to this group who love to build.
But y'know, there's a shirt ton of stuff people don't like. And you don't care. There something admirable about the sentiment that you do what you do, and you don't take the crap people send you. it's when you pay it out in kind where it really isn't warranted that turns people off.
What you've done is you've made the latter your brand. and when you start to believe that's all there is, that really is all there is to be perceived.
I started to enjoy the phb, once you stopped pissing on the host for deining to create the contest in the first place, and we just started busting each other's balls, because that what we wanted by participating. That's what my meme was about: people quitting because the hating within the contest thing even exists. Other people perceive your hate as ", if you can't stand my "hate" no matter the place and context, you should quit, too."
At this point, if you're reading, you may not care, because you didn't want words to change you. Maybe you don't, maybe you do. And maybe you don't want your own words/memes to change other people. Maybe you think it's your attempt to give them thicker s skins.
But you care about something, otherwise why the heck even make this thread?
People like building. On one level or another they get some kind of joy/enjoyment and they feel like the hate is ruining it for them. Are they right, are they wrong? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You sure brought it to btr's initial thought gathering thread for reasons unknown to me, and when he (I can only suppose) threw you and the hater cohorts a bone by making light roast hate the point after you participate, and you seemed to double down on it simply to try to make it go away, simply because you thought you knew what was best for the forum, and that "best thing" according to you was for that thread to not have ever existed and everyone who wanted it to be a thing should feel bad. But who knows.
They don't hate you, they hate the excess of being an important shit you've chosen to be your online identity.
