Nice! Hope you remembered to put one of the insulator boards under the dual gang pots.
I forgot to order them and had to improvise with cutting my own out of fishpaper!

100% this. 80% of the time the problem is the dual gang everytime…

Ever see the eyelet boards in an old Fender amp? Essentially it’s paper that has been compressed and treated with high heat that makes it a good insulator. Also commonly used for gaskets

I believe the technical name is “vulvanized fiber sheet”. But in the electrical industry we all know it as Fishpaper. Fun fact, in an earlier life, I helped design a circuit breaker barrier out of the stuff and am listed in a patent app for it

Were they the ones with dancing bears, owls, or smiley faces printed on them?

I was listening to an original Uni-vibe on YouTube and setting these Bias and Brightness trimmers to try and match that sound seems impossible. It’s close, but there is something about the original waveform that sounds different when it hits the low end. Sorta like it speeds up and bounces off the bottom if that makes sense.

Any tips on setting those?

So you didn't get much rehearsin' done, and had to move elsewhere to get rehearsin'.

For dual-gang pot blockers...
I like to use some phenolic perfboard that got warped by the Hong Kong humidity and would be otherwise useless as perfboard (I only bought the fibre-glass perf boards after the phenolic ones warped).

Yeah I don't really frequent those places. Never went into that one. Another weird one one around here that always stuck in my head was called Soapy's. Like... is everyone sudsing up on the stage or what?
