Also wtf is up with his guitar tone? I watched a Sweetwater vid where he’s running a Morning Glory into his Klon and it sounded like shit. Icepick horribleness. And he was all puffed up about his pedal board. Maybe it was the YouTube…

I always see a lot of hate directed his way, but I’ve been not enough in this hobby to actually know why that is.

I’m like a moth to a flame to broken stuff on Craigslist. How I end up with stuff like this on my dining room table. The moment the person is listing for sale their broken crap they are ussually asking too much. Otherwise they would probably just toss it. Occasionally you find gold. I’ve ended up with a few things from conversation. While doing another deal. I was actually selling a blues jr was talking to the buyer he was replacing his old one. No sound and one of the tubes wouldn’t light up even with new tubes. The tube board looks fried. Common issue.
 
Speaking of for parts etc things a while
Back a guy listed a boss rc-300 (the really frigging huge looper) wouldn’t turn on 20$. He was a few blocks from my work so I decided it was worth the gamble.

Sure as shit no power. I messed with that thing for ages. All the voltages I could read and make sense of we’re making sense. Of course it’s a momentary switched. The switch was messed up, I replaced it. Still couldn’t get the thing to turn on. Tossed in the garbage can. Fast forward 6 months I borrow an me-80 from a friend. Push the button it doesn’t turn on. I’m like wtf. Mess with it can’t figure out the issue open up the manual online. Oh you have to hold it in for 5 seconds. Turns right on
