Fornicus OD trimpot question

Hello,
I don't have 10K trimpot for now. Can i use a 50 k trimpot if i put a 50 k threshold potentiometer?
I also have 5k trimpots... and 5 k pots...

Honestly, you can probably get away with just putting a jumper or a 20 ohm resistor (or whatever resistor you have on hand that's close to that value) on the middle and fully clockwise spots where the trim pot would go. I've built four or five of these now and every single time I wind up setting the trim pot fully clockwise. On my most recent build I put the resistor in the spot where the trim pot would go and it sounded exactly the same as all my previous builds.
