Alright, so...like others have done with the Fuzz Aldrin, I decided to try out one of the mods for the Hybrid Fuzz Driver. However, instead of calling it the Hybrid Fuzz Driver, I kept the Fuzz Aldrin name (because I like it!) and just added Deluxe Hybrid Fuzz on the end. Updated the design quite a bit from the original Sharpie job I did with the first one. Just a simple graphic of the moon in the middl and a cool 3D font for the logo.
This one utilizes the recommended BC109C and AC127 transistors. And, boy oh boy, does that AC127 make a difference on the tone compared to using all BC109C's. Results in a more refined fuzz that can get to some really nice overdrive sounds at lower gain levels. Kind of reminds me of a Big Muff Civil War a little bit (more on that build soon!).
