Genuine spring reverb build recommendations?

Hi All -

After staying up way too late watching YouTube reviews of the new White Whale v2, I now have the wild hare to build a real spring reverb.

I'm a little hesitant to start into the DeadEndFX Hooke because of the ultra-rare parts and well, the DeadEnd Effects (crazy expensive weird stuff, and feeling like I've got the biggest enclosure imaginable and I'm still cramming bits in, then mis-drilling something because there's no real template, etc).

Are there any other projects out there that I should be looking into?

A few months ago, I was looking into building a true spring reverb. This kit caught my eye.

Analog Reverb kit (inkl. tank) – moodysounds

I can’t vouch for it.
