No fancy just wanted to compare to an Aion kit I built a while back. I was thinking this had a lot more gain, but mine is a mild fuzzish sound

Awesome wiring! I also just finished my Aion build, and found that its not very gainy and doesn't quite sound like a fuzz. Do you find the same for you Aion build?

Yeah actually to the point that I built two because I thought the first one was broken. I like the SS3 much more.

I have the Aion one.
What diodes did you use? Try 2xBAT41 on the first set of diodes ~600mV.

There's a lot of mods to increase the gain on the G2. I prefer more gain. I like the SS3 more, as well.
There's some great advice on the G2 on this blog. G2 and SS2 build advice. It doesn't discuss gain mods but that's pretty straight forward.
