Just got this one a week ago and finally finished hooking it up. Had to build a few TRS splitter cables for it though. More on that in a sec.
This is just a monster pedal and solves a really big problem I've been having with my rig. The Wetter Box replaces a Boss LS-2 Line Selector, which is a fantastic pedal. But there's one trick the Wetter Box that the LS-2 doesn't: stereo loops!
I have a dual rig setup with two Line 6 HX Stomps acting as the hub for each rig: one primarily for bass, the other for guitar. I was able to split the signal with the LS-2 and route both loops to each and mix them back into one signal going out to my mixing board, no problem. However, the problem I had was figuring out how to deal with a stereo output. So I ran each of the extra channels off the HX Stomps to a patch bay and just patch in whatever stereo mix I needed at the time. It worked...but it was clunky and kind of weird.
With the Wetter Box, all that becomes much, much easier. I can run my guitars into one input, send either a mono or stereo signal to the HX Stomps, return a stereo signal, and run a fully mixed stereo signal straight to my board.
Why is this cool? Imagine being able to mix two different guitar sounds into one...in stereo. Imagine playing a short scale bass and using two guitar processors to mix both a standard bass sound and a guitar sound a la Royal Blood style. All this can be done very, very easily with the Wetter Box. Oh...and did I mention that it can all be mixed in stereo?
