Greetings! In the spirit of @fig and his incredible generosity, I have decided to host my own giveaway. But first, I need a little help... I am pretty indecisive when it comes to, well... anything. There are so many overdrives to chose from, but I've managed to narrow it down to just two: the Narcissus (DOD Looking Glass) and the Sugerbag (Beetronics Fatbee). Both of these pedals have pretty interesting circuits, and they were both born out of collaborations between two companies/designers (DOD and Shoe Pedals; and Beetronics and Howard Davis). Of course, they have their differences as well.

So, help me decide which one to build and I will give it away. The fully built pedal. The poll will close next Tuesday, around the end of the day EST. So get voting! Please note: This is NOT the thread to enter the giveaway. I will post a new thread once the pedal is finished.

Unfortunately, this contest will be U.S. ONLY.
But I encourage you to vote no matter where you're from, and there maybe more things in the future that everyone can get in on!

I like the grittier tone of the fatbee. Watch the Andy demos video on it. sounds super good. Real gritty and it sounds great with the Gain pretty high. If you want a great smooth distortion sound change to the neck pickup. I'm impressed! Sounds great!

Happy Saturday! Remember that the poll will close this Tuesday so keep those votes coming!

I’m excited to see which pedal will win!

Thank you to all who participated in the poll, and the winner is…

The Fatbee/Sugarbag by far!

I have to say I’m surprised by this, as I personally thought the Looking Glass was better from the demos. But the people have spoken and the order is placed!

The giveaway will commence when the pedal is complete. I am aiming to get this done by Christmas time. Fortunately I have all of the parts for either build on hand, except the hardware and enclosure… hopefully the USPS overlords are sympathetic to my efforts.

Note: I messed up the poll and couldn’t see it without voting so, subtracting my vote from the Narcissus… doesn’t matter anyways.

I missed this thread entirely, and was about to vote when I noticed the date on the OP.

I like Shoe pedals, but the heavy bee was intriguing — so the answer is yes, or as TCPoint so succinctly put it: "BOTH"!

@wintercept , where's the link to the contest thread?
