God City PCBs

Anyone here tried any of their build? I see they make a 3PDT break out boards to go with their builds but they are expensive. Doe any one know if the pinout is the same as the PedalPCB boards. I rather use the PedalPCB board since it supports solder lug switches and is ⅓ the price.

Looks like the “GND” and “SW” pads (which would be “L-“ and “L+“ on the GCI board) are backwards from PPCB’s breakout board so just swap those two and it should work.

I put together a few GCI boards into a single enclosure for a friend, no obvious deficiencies in the quality of the boards that I could see.

All around great boards. The documentation for the brutalist jr is a great resource for beginners. The other difference with their breakout boards is that they require pcb pin rather than solder lug 3PDT switches.

I've built up a few of his designs on vero and they've been uniformly fantastic. The baracus hybrid buzzaround-ish fuzz is a current fave and that BLM fuzz is also awesome.

Kurt B seems like an incredibly chill dude with great taste in ... stuff. Lots of demo videos of the pedals available to dig into to see where he's coming from with them.

I'm honestly kinda glad that latest batch of yamaha/mosrite-ish GCI guitars sold out instantly as I was very very tempted to go for one.

I'm now going for the N.E.W. Apostle and the Brutalist! I told myself I was going to take a break from pedals after finishing a bunch recently. That lasted about a week and a half.

Agreed. Those things look sweet and I don't need more guitars
