Ground Enclosure

I was wondering what the benefit is to grounding the enclosure? If there is a benefit, how would you do this with a pedal PCB circuit board?

Grounding the enclosure helps to eliminate noise and outside interference.

If you use metal 1/4" jacks your enclosure should already grounded (unless there is a thick layer of powdercoat insulating the jacks from the enclosure).

Never a bad time to plug @StompBoxParts jacks, they’ve got teeth that’ll bite through paint and make a solid ground connection

🤫🤫 I don't want these to catch on cuz they still seem to be readily available unlike the lumbergs

So if I wanted to ground the enclosure, just remove the paint from the inside of the jack holes.
Also ensure that you're not using insulated jacks (i.e., anything with plastic threading). You can ground those to the enclosure too, but it involves a few extra steps.
