Heat shrink tubing for AWG22?

I'm jealous of those people with nice connectors to DC plugs and want to get some Heat Shrink tubing.

What size do you use? I see 1.5 mm and 3mm at Tayda:

I bought some on eBay...forget what size it is but it has a 4:1 shrink ratio so it gets super tiny.

Those are the 2 sizes from tayda i use most, I think from memory the 1.5mm will just squeeze onto the GND on the bigger 3 pin DC jacks if you don't use too much solder

I think what I use mostly is 3/32" which is probably closer to 3mm

I use 1.5mm for single solder joints and 3mm to capture two parallel wires (like from an LED). Two heatshrink tips:

1. Slip the heatshrink on before making the last solder joint. Been there, done that.
2. Make sure the solder joint is cool before you try to slip the heatshrink over the joint, otherwise it will start shrinking too soon.
