Hotcakes with a TL071?

Anyone build the aweful waffle with a tl071 in place of the lm741?

Looks like it will do the job but wondering if it’s too clean for this build. Anyone try it and have an opinion?

Yeah. I socketed the IC when I built mine recently and tried a bunch, TL071 included.

The shady old 741 came out the winner. IMO it needs a bit of dirtiness for what it’s trying to do. The TL worked though, and wasn’t bad. Probably couldn’t tell the difference in a mix.
