Picked this cheeky little pcb up from a guy on Facebook as I wanted another crack at doing a tube pedal and on the basis that the BE-OD is my favourite distortion pedal ever I thought it was worth a punt.
The build was challenging insofar as sourcing some of the components and this is the first time I've built pretty much everything on the pcb before dropping it into the enclosure. The build docs were really clear though and it fired up first time.
I got an blank enclosure drilled from Tayda as it had to be perfect although I did amend the vent holes from the drill template to have them more open (in use it does get hot so it was the right decision). I made an attempt to do a cel-shaded design which I'm please with but always room for improvement.
All in all I would definitely recommend the Hotkits range
The demo is very quick and dirty (please dont judge!) and is just the pedal going into the front of my HK Tubemeister 36 (clean channel) and recorded on my phone. There are some actual samples on the hotkits facebook page but I love it and will try it straight into the poweramp as well.
