I am a basic bitch...

In an ongoing search for my ultimate doom metal tone ("so BRUTAL!") I've built the Panspermia Fuzz, Hylian Fuzz, Fuzz Foundry, Bayonet Fuzz, Friendly Fire Fuzz, War Scythe, Pulse Wave Fuzz, Parentheses Mini Fuzz, Death Cap, Carcass Fuzz, and Arkaim Fuzz.

I've tried running in parallel with the Zapper, and Conqueror Fuzz. I've slammed the front of fuzz pedals with the Percolation Station, Chrome Dome, Crystal Drive, Maleficent Mids, Little Green Scream Machine, etc etc etc...

So... I finally said enough is enough and spent an entire day in my studio running every possibly combination to find the ultimate me-pedal-sound....

After all this research and experimentation, I have finally figured out my favorite and second favorite doom pedals:

Didn't know it could doom . I'll give it a shot with mine. Usually I just throw a boost before a fuzz for some good sounds
I think Jus Oborn of Electric Wizard famously uses a FZ-2 into an overdriven amp. Garrett Morris from Windhand used to run a Rat 2 into his amp.

The fz2 / super fuzz is suuuuch a good doom pedal. Big monolord fan myself if it isn’t obvious. Also surprised the two sticks of derm isn’t on your list.

I’m almost done with the pedalpcb hyped fuzz and it’s the most excited I’ve ever been to finish a build.

Oh yeah! I should pick one of those up and make it. Out of curiosity, do you know what circuit it's based on? @PedalPCB?
(I mean, I know it's based on the Mr Black Doomstick, but I'm curious what the base circuit is closest to.)

I have also been wondering this to look into similar circuits but have no clue. Other posts on the forum asking the same don't get deeper than the doomstick.

I wanted a baritone guitar after listening to The Evens. I don't think I'd really heard them much before that, or if I had it didn't stand out the way it does when it's just guitar and drums.

I don't own an electric guitar and I'd like to get one, but every time I start to look I end up looking at baritone guitars. And then when I think of spending $600 on a guitar I just think that I'd rather spend a little more and get a Vintera P bass. It's a pretty vicious cycle.

Going to necro instead of starting a new thread.
I think it's a yaffs. It's a teddy rupture(or other variant) with a little less gain(*)and a Darlington pair subbed for Q1.
It took me a minute to identify because it has a lot more interstage filtering.
But, and please prove me wrong, it's a modded FF.

*I used some 2N3567s in my first build (with other mods(!after some auditioning. They don't *fuzz* as much as add a light squaring of the peaks that, when pushing a slightly dirty amp, give you a definite added harmonic content without blurring it.
Transparent fuzz¿ No. F*ck that.

But yeah, I think it's a FF
