I have a few Reticon SAD1024 BBD, what should i build?

That is a cool site! Too bad he is not making pcbs for it anymore.

Yeah, SAD1024 that he's not making PCBs anymore, but understandable given how rare the chips are now.
To reiterate Guilherme's post — that's an INSANE gift!

With the Moosapotamus info, you can have a PCB fabbed up for you. I'm not sure if any place does a one-off order:
  • OSHPARK min order 3
  • JLCPCB min order 5 (but cheaper overall than Oshpark, IIRC)
  • ?

If you got 3 PCBs from Oshpark, you could build one, keep the second as backup in case something goes wrong, and I'll buy the third in vain hopes that I'll luck into some SAD1024 like you did and in the meantime it'll make great wall art above the solder bench.

I've seen a Chinese clone of the Moosapotamus ADA-PCB for MN3007, which I may or may not have stashed away.
I have NOT seen a Chinese clone of the Moosapotamus ADA-PCB for SAD1024 — but I'll go have another look.

Good point. I didn’t think of getting a pcb built! Great idea. I will research this a bit more.

Thanks

I have two of them in my parts stash. They're really no better than V3207. Sometimes I think the best thing I can do with them is sell them on eBay and buy a couple dozen V3207s with the proceeds.
That is an option but i would like to build at least one of them to see what it sounds like

Hmm looks like oshpark needs kicad or gerber files. I think there are only gifs on the moosapotamus page
