Shouts out to all who helped me with the wiring. Holy shit does the 1590A test my patience and hand-eye coordination, lol, I hosed an enclosure on my first attempt.
This great lil' board is $3.50 or free with any Huntington Audio over 10 bucks, IIRC. It's layout allows a whole bunch of different Fuzz Face variant builds of either polarity. I socketed everything but ultimately went with Dallas Arbiter values, including BC108s. It sounds nice, but is microphonic/screech noise a usual feature when gain is maxed? Asking for me, although I'm not stressing too much as this pedal isn't a board addition.
Art-wise, it's Voivod time yet again baybeee! The jacket for their 1989 gem Nothingface, by drummer Away as usual, was this time created on a computer of the time, IIRC an Amiga, and the back cover has eight little panels. I thought this one was perfect. Knob holes are slightly offset but whatever. After all the underpainting I've done with recent decals, this was so much damn easier and quicker. Also, some random fan created a typeface of Away's writing used on Voivod demo, rehearsal and live tapes of the time called Hatross. Best 8 bucks I've spent in a while.
