SOLVED Intelligent relay bypass - always ON

Hi guys, I’m placing an intelligent relay bypass in a broken Dwarfcraft devices Pitchgrinder but I’m having an issue, the pedal is always on and the led too. If I keep pushed the switch the led starts blinking but the pedal remains engaged.

That isn't a normally closed switch by any chance? I haven't come across one, but they apparently do exist.

Actually double check all of your wiring/solders, it appears like maybe you're shorting the 3.3V supply to ground when you press the footswitch.

The only time the LED should blink like that is at power on, so power is being lost for some reason.
