SOLVED Irrlicht OD weak sound

Hi all,

I built a Irrlicht OD last week and it worked fine. A buddy who is new to building just built one yesterday. It tested fine on the PedalPCB test board. All pots worked and normal volume. When we went to box it up in the enclosure the active sound is barely there and hard to hear. True bypass volume level is fine.

I feel like there’s a ground issue with the footswitch. When I touch the daughter board on the 3pdt it makes staticy noises.

Any ideas of what to troubleshoot first? I’ve never had a weak volume issue before.

Sounds like either switch wiring is shorting or he cooked the switch.

I'd check the solder connections on the switch. Many of those look suspect.

Ok resoldering the daughter board fixed the problem. Thanks everyone for the help!
