Is there a trick to using these led bezels?

Hey everyone.

I bought some of these led bezels lined below to try out but I’m having trouble getting them to work right.

Either they are too loose and the LEDs wiggle around or they are just too tight and I damage the led forcing them into the hole.

Is there a trick that I am missing here? I am using a metric drill set that goes I’m by 0.5mm increments

I never had a ton of luck with that type feeling secure. Well, they feel 5 cent secure. Better luck with this type that have a collar.

Looking at these that look similar to the tayda ones, the datasheet suggests a .25 inch hole for mounting. Maybe try that on a scrap enclosure?
