My most disappointing circuit was trying to clone a rat on stripboard. It worked before I boxed it, but by the time it was in the enclosure it had extreme oscillation. I just found the picture I made of it; the scope is what it looked like running no input, the spectrogram is how the frequency changed with the gain knob.
