JAM pedals discrete custom opamp (308) for Rattler v2

It looks like JAM pedals decided to roll their own LM308 for their modified rat

From their site:
With the LM308 chips being long discontinued and hard to find, we developed a custom op-amp to ensure a dependable supply. Our proprietary design, featuring discrete components, preserves the open, dynamic, and tube-amp feel that made the original Rattler so revered.

Looks like a PnP SMD jobbie on the "custom opamp"
Wonder if they just built a discrete version of the datasheet circuit or designed something new.

The website says the extra switch is for a midboost in front of it. I wonder if it's just a TS/SD-1 circuit crammed in there at the top.

I wonder what the cost of a SMD "LM308" like that comes out to? At scale anyway. I'm not sure if the difference to something like an OP07 is enough to make it worthwhile for hobbyists, but on the other hand, it might be cool in a "modern remake mojo" kinda way if it's cheap enough.

I kinda doubt that it's a full-on discrete LM308, but probably something slightly more complex than the Boss BD-2 style one.
Lauren Audio did something similar a good while ago:

Electrofoods did a discrete opamp Rat 5ish years ago, the Nepenthes.

And version 2:

It would be cool to see a schematic of that as well.

Ahh cool, I'd love to see the other side of that little module....

The Fingers and Wilhelm Scream overdrives both have discrete gain stages.
Yes, although those Boss-style JFET discrete op amps in my experience have a more open/organic sound with lower gain, not necessarily what you'd want from a Rat.
I'm really curious about the Rattler's discrete op amp design and whether it actually emulates the saggy, fuzzy nature of the LM308.
