Hey all,

Wondering if by this image yall can help me sort out where the gain is on my pedal. Per an earlier thread by @NickC , my pedal isn’t generating any distortion/clipping, but rather gets more compressed a little quieter when I turn the gain up.

Ic Values:

IC1 : 3.57, 3.57, 2.79, 0, 3.57, 3.57, 3.57, 7.14

IC2: 3.57, 3.57, 3.57, -6.68, 3.75, 3.75, 3.57, 12.4,

IC3: 7.13, 3.64, 0, -3.29, -6.67, 2.91, 4.42, 7.13

One last note: I reflowed everything so it may look a little glooby. Don’t shame a lowly novice ….

Use your meter to verify the gain knob is working correctly. Check for resistance between lugs 1 and 3 and make sure it matches the pot's value. Then check for resistance between lugs 1 and 2 and then 2 and 3. These two measurements should add up to what you got between lugs 1 and 3, and they should change as you turn the knob.

The gain control is a dual gang so do this for both sets of lugs. Since you have an issue as you turn the gain knob, let's check that first
