LED / Footswitch Issue

I have a situation where I have an intermittent LED lighting up upon activating the footswitch. Actually now it isn't intermittent anymore, it just isn't working. But for a while when the footswitch was activated, the light would not work, then when I was moving things around a bit it would come on. Then I depressed the footswitch a bit - not to the point where it clicked to bypass - and the LED would go on and off. Using the DMM, the LED lights up when I touch the lug 4 on the footswitch and the 4 pad on the PCB. Does this sound like something wrong internally wit the footswitch?

It could be the foot switch or it could be a solder bridge or a piece of dust in there. have you reflowed the switch?

I haven't. Should I reflow lug 4 on the switch and the pad on the PCB?

I’d reflow all of the switch pads to be sure. If that doesn’t do anything, then it’s likely the switch itself.

But don’t overheat the switch.

The wire connected to the 4 lug broke off at the lug. It must have been on the verge of breaking during all that intermittent stuff. All better now. Thanks again guys!
