Long-lead LED

Anyone have a source for LEDs with longer than usual leads? I’m getting tired of having to solder lengths of wire or clipper resistor leads to my LEDs so they can reach the pads on footswitch daughterboards. They’re always just 5 or 6 mm too short to reach.

Anyone know of a supplier whose LEDs have leads that are on the longer side? Thanks in advance

“this is NOT an led” but they look long.

I keep a small stock of pre-wired LEDs on hand for just this sorta thing. I get the Chanzon brand from amazon

How long is long? I bought a box of LEDs on Amazon that were some shorties. The ones from Tayda are a good length.

Chanzon brand for regular 5mm and 3mm- both waterclear and diffused. Tayda for bi-color and RGB

I use Tayda LEDs almost exclusively and have never had a problem with daughterboards.

I had the same problem with Chanzon LED's. I get these now.......

Seems that Chanzon and Dicuno just have really short leads. I just found a spare red led from the leftovers of an old FuzzDog kit I built a few years ago, and… take a look at the difference!

I think it's between Nick's shorty LED legs and @ThePanda getting his glue in a bag from Amazon
