The Magnetron colors my tone, so I choose the Seabed

I’ve read that for an inverting op amp stage I’ve input impedance is basically equally to the resistor into the - input. So for the magnetron that would only be 100k.

Can anyone either confirm if that’s correct theory, or test if there’s an audible difference with or without a buffer before it?

You are correct that the input impedance is dominated by the input resistor in an inverting opamp configuration. Whether or not the impedance has an audible effect on the tone depends on what's going on in from of it: are there other pedals turned on before the delay, are rolling back your guitar volume, etc.
