Looking for subjective opinions on chorus pedal sounds…

@xefned I understand EXACTLY how you feel!!! Felt the exact same way myself, but I was really motivated by my need to get that specific sound, and BOY am I glad I did.

The other prejudice I had in my head was thinking about how older small-format digital pedals always sounded kinda sterile or dumb somehow, but these three have destroyed that misconception, also. They just sound wonderful.

Frankly, these were overall far EASIER to build than the analog stuff...the component count was just really low on all three and the parts were very dime-a-dozen Tayda fare.

Only caveat I will give to THAT statement is that @PedalPCB has reported that he'll no longer be carrying the spin chips in the near future, which therefore means that some of us (myself included) will have to figure out soldering SMD components, which frankly scares the shit out of me. If anyone has any favored YouTube vids on how to climb that hill, I'm all ears (or eyes).

Have not heard the Keeley but yeah this thing rules. I'll try and get those clips done soon.

I have enough that we won't have to worry about that for a little while.

Soldering them isn't as bad as you might think though...

CabinTech has 'em. Might want to stock up on a few in case we run into a supply chain shortage.
EDIT: Whoop. Didn't see Robert's post before posting. I'd sooner buy them directly from PedalPCB while ordering other PCBS.

SMD is hard, but with a smaller soldering tip and a magnifying lamp, YOU CAN DO IT!
Just don't drink too much coffee before if it causes your hands to shake. :)

Hey, I managed to find a clip with 3 different Unison patches so I wouldn't spend your precious time, although I appreciate your willingness to offer. Making videos can be so time-consuming. Happy new year!!
 
Cool because I went down this rabbit hole of doing final mounting all my new spin circuits into its rack enclosure yesterday so I could do the demo more easily, and that led to a whole host of other drilling/spacing issues and I never got to it.

No plan survives first contact with the enemy.
