Lovetone Brown Source: worth building?

This one has intrigued me for years. It was a 'boutique' high-dollar distortion in the mid-late 90's, back when there weren't nearly as many private builders as there are now.
Just curious if it's worth building, what with other Marshall-esque drives out there (the Friedman pedals, Marvel Drive V2, XTS Atomic OD, Catalinbreads, Wamplers, etc).
Is it different enough to go all-in and do a big-box version with proper graphics & chicken head knobs?
Or is there too much overlap elsewhere?

I didn't find it to be particularly special. I think playing at volume is a big part of this one's appeal (i.e., bedroom combos don't benefit very much).
 
Buy it and build it. If you don’t like it, don’t box it, just sell it.

It really comes down to your ears. It seems like everyone and their mother has a brown sound now.
