Built to the doc, except I replaced the diodes in the envelope detector portion with BAT46, reduced the Sens / Sweep pot to 5k w/ 4.6k from lug 1 to ground, and added a 50kB in parallel with R34 & R35. This effects the response of one of the formant filters, and is highly interactive with the Sens pot and vowel selector. C16 omitted because it wasn't doing anything
I opted for a pair of CA3080s as I found a decent handful in my stash. They are a little noisier than the NE5517, but they also have a bit more aggressive of an attack.
I built two of these, and the next will be getting the bias pot and I'm gonna tweak the Fuzz circuit some, as it's incredibly subtle

It's a fun box that's capable of more than making your guitar sound like Owen Wilson. It's almost always on the verge of oscillation, but living dangerously is all I know. Excellent alternative to the typical wah-voiced envelope filters out there, allowing for a lot of robot chatter

This demo features some Rat stackage toward the end

This was just a short one I made to ensure my mic was working, so added it just cuz

Really digging Beans new layout for this one. Build it!

It's been a while since I fired mine up but I think something has gone wrong on your Fuzz control. It should be way cleaner sounding on the CCW position.

That's what I thought too, when recalling the last one I built. I'll take a look when I get a chance

All the formant filters seem to be spot on but that fuzz control is off. Maybe some contact cleaner on the the fuzz pot is needed,

Swapped out the fuzz pot after looking everything over. Still distorting CCW

So, I thought maybe overdriving the input of my preamp... Nope. Here's a gutshot to see if any values are off that I missed. Barring that, I'll try some different chips tomorrow 1000037594.jpg
