Maestro pedals blow out

All the new Maestro pedals are heavily discounted all over the place, down to $59.99 and free shipping, and are already out of stock some places like Sweetwater. At that price I had to pick up a couple.

A bunch were $40 through GC a few months ago
Yep, I missed that one but I did get a couple of used ones for $40 a while back. GC got new stock and are one of the few that don't currently have them on sale. Sounds like they are being discontinued this time since they don't seem to be coming back in stock other places.

Why? Do they suck?
I think the general consensus is that they are a bit underwhelming in a saturated market and originally they were way overpriced. They are definitely worth $60. Some are better than others. They are mostly dialed in to do a specific thing, and then there is a switch that changes something. Some have an internal trimpot or two.

I can recommend the chorus, distortion and, phaser

The chorus has a rotary mode which sounds pretty cool

The delay is ok too. The repeats are heavily filtered and long repeats end up sounding like knocks, some like it and some don't

I tried one out at the store a while back, and it wasn't memorable enough for me to recall exactly why I didn't like it. I think I mostly remember being disappointed they used a cool white LED to backlight the yellow flag graphic, making it look green.
