I have “insufficient privileges to reply” to post on the original Sola Sound Yellow Hybrid Tone Bender thread where the circuit was traced, but I noticed that the tone pot on that version was a W20K, It looks like they have also used a B22K, well on a later version at any rate.
I notice that Chuck D. Bones had already said that it didn’t need to be a W20K, “B20K or B25K should work well”
I’ve got it on my bread board at the moment, and think the B25K worked better than the W20K. But I’m also experimenting with a B100K which I thought was better still, but just before doing an A/B test I was politely told to be quiet… I guess Fuzz just isn’t for everyone!
Anyway I just thought I’d mention it as a W20K is not always available or in stock compared to a B25K.
