Here is my latest video featuring the MadBean Glasshole, I absolutely love the Mutron Optical phasers and this really does it for me. I hope you guys like the new and improved build report section! I am always trying new ways and approaches with these videos to make them better, so any feedback is much appreciated.

I really need to not watch these. Add another one to the list of pedals I "need" to build. You were correct, "Siren, in Greek mythology, a creature half bird and half woman who lured sailors to destruction by the sweetness of her song."

TL;DR: The siren sounds of the phaser are going to wreck my wallet against the rocks. Excellent work as usual.

Another fantastic video Dan! i can't really suggest anything on the video production side of things but I do have some experience with taking photos!
I notice your intro screen is a nice black backdrop with white font. I notice with your photos of the pedal that they're cut and pasted from a photo and the slight trimming from the background interrupts the black.

Down the line you might want to buy a cheap photobox/ light tent and two photo lights. The tents comes with backdrops in all sorts of colors. Pop in the black backdrop, fire up the lights and you get a very ideal setting for photos.

There are all sorts of photo editing programs that make it really easy to adjust the levels. With the black background, you can adjust the darkness levels to make cutting and pasting seemless and have it blend into the title screen better.

12" should be good right? I have been meaning to get one of those. I already have those lights and am going to use them for the build report section. I am working on a way to keep them up all the time to make this a little easier. Just figured out what a LUT is and with my gopro and some proper lighting I think I am going to make this even better looking. The info will still be lofty tho.

Totally! It will be a lot easier to handle as well.

I have a 60" one and folding it back is a b*%^*. I end up looking like Chris Farley from the Chippendale's skit wrestling with that thing.

I am between a 7-3/4 and 7-7/8 myself, so I rock a L/XL Flexfit ball cap. It does take a little bit to get them broken in so they don't squeeze the life out of the top of my head.

We just have lots of brains in there, so our heads need to be larger.

Yup, ya got me all juiced up — I've got 1/8w resistors and the Glasshole PCB waiting for me downstairs, but at 3:30am I should sleep, not watch videos that inspire me to build...





(my noggin is big, but I like proper hats so am constantly on the hunt and when you're always hunting, every so often you find your quarry).

I cannot recommend this build high enough, I LOVE the MuTron phase sound. The duo phase has been a staple in this house for a very long time.

This is all because of this super cool community and I want to keep making the videos better for all of you. I am certainly trying to swear less and at least bleep some of it out but I can guarantee all of you there is no shortage of pedals or amps or bad ideas around here.
