Microblend as clean blend

Have any of you used the Microblend added to a pedal as a clean blend? A friend of mine wanted a blend added to his danelectro sitar pedal. Looks like the Microblend might work well.

Looking at the schematic, it's a blender alrighty — so you'd still need to split the signal to begin with, I think.

Something like the Buff 'n' Blend could work:

There are PCBs for the Split n Blend (called the Buff n Blend above) from other suppliers, as well as vero or perf layouts.


GGG has a simple splitter, as well as an op-amp based splitter:


Be aware there may be some phase/polarity issues, but there are solutions for those issues if you encounter them — it just means things start to get more complex. Snoop around the GGG site above and at least one of the op-amp splitters there has a switch for flipping the phase.
FuzzDog has a similar phase-flipping splitter circuit, IIRC.



Then again, maybe all you need is the MicroBlend. 🤷‍♂️
