Pretty cool DIY phaser project from by Mod Electronics sold by Amplified Parts.

Fuzz with a phaser is one of my favorite combos. And this phaser sounds great with fuzz.

Easy build. I built exactly to BOM except I didnt have any TL062 so I used a TL072. Got the MPSA64, 14, and LDRs from them but had everything else.

Its a solid phaser. The design seems relatively unique but I can't really tell the difference between some of the other phases out there. Its different but no substantially imo.

Fun build and a cool project for DIY builders.

Shit I forgot to post the demo. Just added it.

Its for sure more of a phase than a vibe to me. I need to break out my ElectroVibe and the handful of other vibes/phases I got and do a sound test.

It's being marketed as a Pseudo-Univibe by Mod Electronics/Amplified Parts.

The online demo (less than a minute?) from Mod Kits sure sounded Univibish, but the whole vid was on one setting — Your demo is much better!

The minute I decided to do a Perf Layout of the Odyssey, suddenly I glazie this circ eVERY-ware.



VanWhy, where'd you get the enclosure? Paint it yourself?
That's some serious retina-searing tomato-soup!

Update: I finally got a legit TL062 and it made quite a difference. Seems a bit "warmer" and got more of that vibe "throb" going on. Definitely recommend sticking with the BOM and using a 62.

Good to know. I was going to substitute, but may heed your advice.

I am also interested in the flanger based on a different IC….

Thanks VanWhy; I thought I had but one TL062 and found several.
What I don’t have is any 470mF caps… so ripped a bunch of electronics apart and found a lone 470mF 10v cap in a car stereo.

Should be okay ‘til I can order some new ones, ‘cause that cap is in the LFO section at 4v5.

Hopefully have a build report of my own soon. Alas, no red enclosure, but I found a blue one that should do.
