Hey all! Been a bit since I've posted a build report. I've been building things here and there but keep forgetting to post about them, but here's my most recent one. A friend of mine asked me to put together a phaser for him. He's recording a country album and apparently phaser is used quite a bit in country/bluegrass type stuff (this is news to me, but I'm gonna start keeping an ear out for it now). The Duo-Phase is one of my favorite sounding phasers I've built, and I had this Phase II board on hand already so we decided to go with that. I ran into some issues putting my Duo-Phase together a while back (took forever to get rid of any LFO ticking), so I was worried that would be the case here but fortunately, this one fired up right away without any issues.
Overall I think it sounds pretty sweet, and was a pretty easy build to put together all in all. Nothing to crazy to report sound wise, as it does the phase thing and does it well. Here's a little sound clip I recorded for it using some delay on it too since they paired well together. I did a waterslide decal on this one, since my buddy wanted labels on the pedal and I still haven't found a good way to create labels for all the fabric/paper wrapped builds I've done. If anyone has any tips on how to add labels to wrapped enclosures that don't end up looking like newspaper clippings from the Unibomber, I'm all ears!
