I don’t mind so much, it’s inevitable but the worst is when the wife takes one in the foot. She’s now a veteran and has learned not venture to that area barefoot.

Had to get a tetanus booster a couple of weeks ago because of this. Pumiced and lotioned up my feet for the first time in like a year, walked over to my bench and immediately jammed a lead an inch and a half into my newly soft skin

I've never jabbed a piece of wire like that into my foot, and I walk around barefoot all the time. But where I build my pedals in my office has a timber floor, which used to be clear finished but my use of a chair with castors has worn the finish off. So I do regularly get some spectacular splinters in my feet.
