I would dive in more with distortions and fuzzes. Building a big muff is almost a right of passage! That, and a rat.
To me, salvaging a damaged board is a rite of passage…

THehammer82—even though you’ve ordered a replacement board, I’d keep the first one, and when you’re feeling feisty, give it a go. You can gently scrape the masking off the traces, and solder (for me, usually a scrap of resistor lead) something to it to bridge where you need to get to. It may not look pretty, but there’s always a feeling of satisfaction in the fix.
