No control labels is a feature?

I like the aesthetic! For me, personally, no labels is only acceptable if control layout and function is standardized. This usually applies to dirt pedals. If a dirt pedal has two knobs, I know which one is volume and which is gain (because I arrange them the same way every time); if a pedal has three knobs, I know where the tone is, etc. That said, that's only for my personal pedals. I would definitely put labels on a commercial build. Not doing so and calling it an "invitation for further investigation" feels like an excuse to cheap out on silk screen printing.

well, The poly chorus board looks like the exact layout of the lectric-fx board, and as far as I know they are the only ones who make that board.
It claims to be the stereo reissue, i.e the one with sweep filter using an MN3008 & MN3009.

The amount of builders using the Dandy Horse boards for their own Polychorus clones is bordering on ridiculous though so I still wouldn't be shocked if it was.

Oh I get it. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries.

I'm acturally really good at making pedals with no printed labels!!

You are cordially invited to take part in a lemon scented marketing gimmick.

By the way I don't repair my broken Tascams, I just use them as pre-amps to overdrive my bass tracks.

You know a Tascam has perfect pitch when you toss it into the trash and don't hit the rim.

The photos do look really nice, but I fear that the aesthetic is lost the minute you take them away from the group and pastel background.
That was my exact thought too - a great example of the value of good photography/staging. Really doing a lot of the heavy lifting there...

“Hey man, thanks for letting me borrow this pedal. Do you know what these controls are?”

“Just go to the website, find the pedal that looks like this one, and there should be an image with labels.”

“Huh, it looks like their site is down, or maybe they are out of business.”

“That’s ok. You don’t need to look for the control labels. Besides, I can’t tell you what they are- that would require words. I managed to create a relationship with the functions of these controls as an abstract thought.”

“Well, could you just try and describe them?”

“Ok. I know that knob increases the color green…”

Well that's just wrong. If words are to be avoided because they carry connotations that may alter your view of how the pedal works, well...

COLOUR WILL DO THAT TENFOLD!

Build a fuchsia tube-screamer.
House a dyanaclump in chartreuse.
Stick an OC-2 in anything other than dark-chocolate.
Pop a Phase 90 in a cobalt enclosure.
A Blues Driver in a mustard-ochre.
...

NO NO NO !

DON'T THINK OF SOUND AS COLOUR, that's just lies the Synesthesiasts want you to believe.

IT's ALL JUST SO... WRONG!
