Where are my metal heads at? I finally am sick of my ISP Deci-mate Mini. I've had it for a while and it has been great but my gig this past weekend was the final straw. Just too unreliable for me. Plus, to save space, it uses an 1/8" adapter cable and that is wonky.
I have 0 interest tracking down a THAT chip for the Muzzle build and the Muffler just isn't enough. I need something that supports the 4-cable method. I use a PPCB Dwarven Hammer slamming the dirty channel of my Marshall DSL100H and it is noisy. So, I put the gate in the effects loop and in front of the amp. I'm in a Godsmack tribute band (no judgement) so there is a lot of start/stop staccato riffs but also need that sweet sustain to not get choked out.
I think I may have narrowed it down to the Zuul+ or the Revv G8. Anyone have experience with either of these or any other suggestions?
The Stone Deaf Noise Reaper also looks interesting too.
I've used ISP Decimator X G-String. Good but too much $
Boss NS-2 and Monte Allums modded NS-2. Sucks tone
TC Electronic Sentry. Meh
EHX Silencer - Lame
And if anyone gives the "You should fix the noise in your rig and you won't need a gate" can bump right off.
