Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

I don't know much about this, I'm pretty sure there's no effects or electronic instruments, just drums/bass/piano. Sounds like he's sticking his arm in the piano to get these sounds, not "prepared piano." This to me sounds like people trying to make minimalist electronic music without electricity.

That's really cool. I listened to a few minutes of it then skipped around, but I'll be sure to look in to them more later. I love stuff like that, especially when using instruments in unique ways.

Your description of what's going on with the piano reminded me of Jason Lyttle from Grandaddy recording his vocals inside a piano to pull in those really subtle resonant harmonics responding to his voice. Just really cool stuff.

Yeah, makes me miss my days of living with my band mates with a slap dash recording studio in the basement. Once, while between drummer's, we made a beat out of weird shit like yelling into a 12 string and kicking the disgusting pleather couch. I think the snare sound was the cork squeak of the Hennessy bottle we were draining.

I was lucky, my friend had ordered it and he received an extra copy and gifted it to me. Your description is pretty spot on ;).
It's a good album.

Been on a Buckethead and Andy James fest for I don't know 2-3 weeks now . I feel like a fresh baby seed newly planted in the most fertile soil with perfect sunlight at like 5:36 A.M. just starting to peak over the montains and my leafy arms (cause I'm growing now and it's my fantasy )outstretched heavy with morning dew ready to accept the warming rays...............

More Sleep Token.

For fans of Deftones....wall of sound production...immersive haunting moody HEAVY melodic adult alternative djent mashups...

After the singer of my last band left, we nearly started up another band with the keys player from a touring Oingo Boingo tribute band. The dude is super legit and I was so pumped because I have always wanted to cover this song but I'd never been in a group with a keyboard player.

It never came about, but one of these days...

That is an awesome song, my brother loved that record. I heard it so much when I was a kid. I built some octave pedal a couple years ago that would nail the keyboard into sound to Space Truckin' I have never really cared to do covers much, but that pedal made it tempting.

The only band I ever did well in was an originals band that didn't care what I did on bass as long as I stayed out of the guitar players way.

That said, there are a few covers that are just fun to play. The only cover we did in that last band was Stranglehold - we did it as an opener at small bars as it's a really fun and simple song that gets people's attention and gets them moving.

Also: we need more rock organ.
