Good ok Nick Lowe. A very underrated songwriter, musician, and producer.

This song is brilliant and I've listened to it about 10 times this morning already.

One of the best bass lines ever and brilliant piano. And that bass tone!

I was just playing this track on guitar this morning! Speaking of Nick Lowe, I just picked up the new reissue of Labour of Lust through Yep Roc Records (specifically the limited edition pressing for Newbury Comics) two days ago!

I've listened to Mastodon before but Monolord was new for me. Anything else like this? I like heavy stuff as long as they don't do the cookie monster vocals.

On the deck this afternoon.
I saw them during this album's tour in a dark packed dive bar (remember those shows?) in Ottawa, and they were really great.
They sing in French, but they often tend to use the voice/lyrics as an additional instrument.

I read somewhere that Herbie Hancock was a guest musician on "As." Listening back, that's totally him. I listen to a lot of Herbie and a lot of Stevie and can't believe I didn't notice until now. Such a good song.
