Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

This is just released today.

Went and saw Peach Pit live this past Tuesday, lead guitarist uses a lot of modulation and delay, lots of energy from him and the lead singer. Bass was felt rather than heard, wish it had been more defined.

Listening to a lot of older Gorillaz right now as well because of some of @Pauleo1214's builds, reminded me of "19-2000" and a few other songs.

The newer stuff is unlistenable to me, too much use of that @#$%^&* auto-pitch-correction-as-effect on the rappers' vocals. I didn't like that effect from the first I heard it, and since it became ubiquitous ... I just despise it, it ruins otherwise listenable music.

Gorillaz is an interesting oxy moron. Damon Albarn created it as a commentary on manufactured musical acts that lack substance. It stands more as a testament to his song writing ability.
