Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

I have to admit, I've avoided this thread for some time, was too busy to explore all the links.
Finding some time again, now, to catch up and some things to add below...

Listening to some Molly Miller of late:

Which for some reason made me feel like listening to Marc Ribot and Nels Cline, here's what came up in the search...

... throw in one of my fave players Bill Frisell, well yes and thank you very much!
Wasn't familiar with Shahzad Ismaily before this.

Ribot & Ismaily ripping it up ...

I liked this little trip of Natsuki Kurai:

He stepped on an oc2 didn't he?
I spoke with him afterwards, 'cause there was so much low end (in a VERY good way) that I'm sure a few people in the audience needed to change their Depends, so I had to know what he used.

He said it was a new algorithm he'd just loaded into his HX, based on the OC-2. The usual tracking foibles on the lowest-played notes, according to him, but it sounded killer out front. To that, he mentioned he had no idea how it was coming across FOH, hadn't had a chance to suss it prior.

Now that's POURING YOUR GUTS OUT!

The emotional content ... wow, words are failing me. WOW!

The only digital faux oc2 I've used was in an ms60b. It was just ok... as it goes with the zoom stuff. I was happy for the inclusion and it definitely was closer to the real thing than any of the drives. No surprises there.

So I felt like listening to something, and completely out of the blue typed in

"Champion Jack Dupree"

Hadn't thought of him in donkeys, years even. Yet what also came up in the results was this:

No matter what, every time I look at the name, I think it's "FehlBarfen".

So I may have to name a pedal after the band. Even if it doesn't sound like any of the tones Fehlfarben gets, a pedal called FehlBarfen there shall be!
