Paradise Overdrive with a unique enclosure

Hello!

Finished up my Paradise Overdrive (Marshall Silver Jubilee). I wanted to make an enclosure that looks like the amp it’s emulating. For the red rocker power switch, I decided to use that as the indicator LED. I decided to “gut” it out for lack of a better phrase and place two ultra bright red LEDs from Tayda in there. For the front aluminum panel, I simple went to Lowe’s and bought some 22 gauge aluminum sheet metal and cut it to size. In order to make all the knobs in a straight row, I had to “relocate” one of them. I chose the tone pot because I read that the gain and volume should be soldered directly to the board if possible to prevent stray coupling.

Overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and I’m impressed with the sound of it, considering how few parts were required for the build. I’m waiting on some lettering graphics to come in, but other than that, it’s finished. Let me know what you think!

I only started building pedals in March of this year, included is a picture of all the pedals I’ve built so far. IMG_0876.jpeg IMG_0880.jpeg IMG_0881.jpeg IMG_0878.jpeg IMG_0882.jpeg

Love it!

I have a bunch of weird switches around and whenever I see them I think I should do something like that, but then I’m too lazy.
