Parentheses Mini - Quiet in Bypass, quiet rat.

However when I kick the boost on it rips.
But even then, it shouldn't make my guitar quieter when it's in bypass....what's up?

If it's quieter than it should be in bypass then it's switch issue. Or a soldering issue on the switches or sockets. I can't see how it could be anything else. Crazy idea - have you tried different patch cables?

No. But I did a test with the same patch cables with other pedals and even direct into the amp no pedal and there is a huge difference.

Could a cold solder joint make the signal come through at half volume if it was like that on a switch? And that’s also where in bypass, no effect on it’d still be quiet? I means that’s the part that perplexes me.

Both switches would have to be in bypass wouldn’t they?

The distortion and boost are independent.

If the volume is cut when both switches are off there is some sort of wiring / hardware issue like @HamishR suggested.

With the pedal PCB daughter boards for the switches. Maybe I’ll play with the switches on and off independently a bit more and I’ll be able to narrow it down as to which side is the issue.
