Park and Ride build

Edit Note: for other new builders seeing this: My TL074 is upside down in the images.

I have a Mad Professor Snow White that I love so I wanted to give this quack pedal a try. I had to special order a ceramic cap so that is blank for now. Also was confused about the extra holes for the 500K trim pot. I checked other posts on the forum and it seemed that other members did not use the two bottom holes - a 3662. I also hit a snag because the TL074 chip has seven legs and my sockets are 4s and 8s. I ended up shaving off the extra two legs on an 8 I had on hand and it worked.. I will probably complete this pedal tomorrow but am starting the build report now. Fingers crossed that it quacks!

First image shows the socket I shaved. Second shows the trimmer spot with extra holes. Last image is my list and notes

Nice. I really like mine. It don’t auto quack, but it’s got some nice parked wah sounds.

Looks like your TL074 is in the wrong way. If there's only a dot, use the dot (pin 1) to orient ICs; if there's a notch, the notch takes priority.

The sockets are agnostic to the plastic they're encased in, it's the pin connection that matters. I use 32-pin in-line snappable sockets.

You have no idea how much I appreciate your post. Luckily I paused work to organize. This reminds me of when I used to sit down and alphabetize my CD collection. lol.

OK, it works. I love this pedal PCB auditorium platform. Works good no shorts. I probably gotta work the trim pot a little bit before I box it up. And as you know, I might screw something up in the boxing, but in the meantime, help me choose some knobs. I definitely have a problem, collecting shiny things like a raven.

OK, it works good. It does have that Mark Knopfler sound. I went with the blue LED and the blue 20 mm blue aluminum knobs. I made a little video. I have to figure out how to upload one here.

It’s not a difficult build. There are a few oddball values on some things that I didn’t have like the 270p ceramic cap and the 14 pin socket. Also, some rather large resistors like the 3M9. It’s a pretty clean build and you get some funky sounds out of it. I guess the one thing I would say is the C500K pot for the volume doesn’t seem to really get going until you’re at like eight. The trim resistor can dial in tones. I can dig it.

Hi again went with the pedal PCB top Jack face plate. If you use this with the Stmpbox jig for drilling the holes do not line up with the face plate. Just an FYI.

All right, I made a little video. Somewhere toward the end, I engaged a Wampler Belle OD pedal. The pedal has a few nasally sounds and can quack a bit. I think my Mad Professor Snow White has more sounds.
